Flash flood hits N. Thailand: road cut, village blackout 10 May 2008
KAMPHAENG PHET: -- Relief officials travelling in flat-bottomed boats distributed emergency supplies to villagers in this lower northern Thai province after a heavy rains began early Saturday night and were continuing Sunday, officials said.
Heavy rain was reported at a national park, causing flooding in a village and cut off a temporary road used for constructing a bridge across a canal.
Two electric power poles were knocked down by the strong current, causing a blackout in a village, officials said. Many farmlands are under the floodwaters, but neither casualties nor damages were reported
